First Aid & CPR-AED Courses in Kelowna and Vancouver, BC
First Aid certification makes you safer at home, more employable as a Worker, and protects you as an Employer.
Your Canadian Red Cross First Aid course will include CPR-AED level C (Adult, Child and Infant).
- Emergency First Aid (EFA) is 8 hours and meets WorkSafe BC's Level 1 Workplace First Aid certification requirements.
- Standard First Aid (SFA) is 14 hours and meets WorkSafe BC's Level 1 Workplace First Aid and Alberta WCB's certification requirements. Standard First Aid also includes all legislative requirements for Child Care Facility First Aid providers.
Stand-alone CPR & AED
CPR-AED certification is also available as a stand-alone course. Your Canadian Red Cross CPR course will include Automated External Defibrillation (AED).
- CPR level C includes the skills to perform CPR & AED on Adults, Children and Babies.
- CPR level A includes the skills to perform CPR & AED on Adults only.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) was previously referred to as CPR HCP, and includes the skills to perform CPR & AED on Adults, Children, Infants, and Neonates, as well as additional skills such as pulse checks and Bag-Valve-Mask, for Health Care Professionals.
- Oxygen Therapy (O2) includes the use of Oxygen equipment, OPAs and BVMs.
